Formations designed, fabricated, and installed exhibits and signage to familiarize visitors with the waterfowl and other wildlife that inhabit or migrate through the wetlands of Central California’s San Joaquin Valley. The exhibits also detail the key “green” features, including solar panels and recycled materials, that will earn the building LEED Platinum status. The Formations team produced a life-size bronze elk, an object theater, interactive stations with touchable elements, and numerous audio and AV features that engage visitors in the dramatic efforts to restore essential habitat. Visitors learn how careful wildlife management returned the tule elk from near-extinction, and discover the surprising yet essential role that hunt clubs play in the region’s wildlife conservation.
